TOPIC - PRONOUNS
DEFINATION :
Pronouns - Pronouns are words which are used to replace nouns.
Some common pronouns are : I, me, we, us, are, you, they, them, she, he, is, it.
TYPES OF PRONOUNS :
There are 2 types of pronouns.
1. Personal pronouns
2. Possessive pronouns
1. Personal pronouns : Pronouns that replace the name of the person or thing is called Personal pronouns.
2. Possessive pronouns : Possessive pronouns shows ownership. Words like min, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs are possessive pronouns.
Exercise 1
Tick (√) the pronouns that can replace the word / words within the bracket.
1. Sam sings in the school choir. (Sam) sings very well.

2. Rohit gave a kite to his friend. (The kite) is blue.

Fill in the blanks with personal pronoun's
1. We have not met the headmaster yet. He is busy in meeting.
2. Rekha is going to mall today. She is going alone.
3. Do you think this plan will work?
Exercise 3
Fill in the blanks with correct possessive pronoun's
1. That flat belongs to Mr. And Mrs. Gupta. It is theirs.
( ours / theirs )
2. I bought this book for you. It is now yours.
( yours / mine )
3. These books belongs to me and my sister. Its ours.
( yours / ours )
