TOPIC - PRONOUNS

DEFINATION : 

Pronouns - Pronouns are words which are used to replace nouns.

Some common pronouns are : I, me, we, us, are, you, they, them, she, he, is, it.

TYPES OF PRONOUNS :

There are 2 types of pronouns.

1. Personal pronouns
2. Possessive pronouns

1. Personal pronouns : Pronouns that replace the name of the person or thing is called Personal pronouns.

2. Possessive pronouns : Possessive pronouns shows ownership. Words like min, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs are possessive pronouns.



Exercise 1

Tick (√) the pronouns that can replace the word / words within the bracket.

1. Sam sings in the school choir. (Sam) sings very well.

2. Rohit gave a kite to his friend. (The kite) is blue.

Fill in the blanks with correct possessive pronoun's



1. That flat belongs to Mr. And Mrs. Gupta. It is theirs.

2. I bought this book for you. It is now yours.


( yours / mine )


3. These books belongs to me and my sister. Its ours.


( yours / ours )

संज्ञा के भेद १) व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा (Proper Noun) - जिस संज्ञा से किसी एक ही व्यक्ति, वस्तु या स्थान का नाम सूचित होता है, उससे व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा कहते है। उदाहरण मोहन, रामायण, हिमालय, मुंबई, चेतक २)  जातिवाचक संज्ञा (Common Noun)- जिस संज्ञा से किसी जाती या वर्ग के अंदर आनेवाले सभी व्यक्ति, प्राणी, वस्तु आदि का बोध हो उसे जातिवाचक संज्ञा कहते हैं। उदाहरण लड़का, पुस्तक, पर्वत, घोड़ा। ३) भाववाचक संज्ञा (Abstract Noum)- जिस संज्ञा से किसी व्यक्ति, प्राणी या पदार्थ में पाए जानेवाले किसी भाव या गुण का बोध होता हो उसे भाववाचक संज्ञा कहते हैं।  उदाहरण अच्छाई, सुंदरता, डर, गहराई, मित्रता, मिठास ४) द्रव्यवाचक संज्ञा (Material Noun) - जिस संज्ञा से किसी वस्तु की राशि या ढेर के बारे में पता चले, जिनको हम गई नहीं सकते, सिर्फ नाप या तौल सकते हैं उसे द्रव्यवाचक संज्ञा कहते हैं। उदाहरण दूध, पानी, सोना, चांदी, शहद, घी। ५) समूहवाचक संज्ञा (Collergive Noun) - जिस संज्ञा से एक ही जाति के प्राणियों व वस्तुओं के समूह का बोध होता हैं, उसे समूहवाचक संज्ञा कहते हैं। उदाहरण सेना, कक्षा, गुच्छा, भीड...
